Radical Self Care

2020 has been a rough year. It started with the passing of a beloved sports star, then a deadly virus hit, and how we treat and interact with people has drastically changed. It has been stressful, thousands of people's lifestyles have been impacted, and many more have died. In the midst of this chaos, it is "essential" to implement radical self care. The first time I heard the term was when I was listening to a podcast on Audre Lorde. Check it out if you get a chance. https://open.spotify.com/episode/1jwewl4MAOpyb4VpntJs1b?si=su_QOvMDR5qGTvxxBFa75g

"Radical Self-care is the assertion that you have the responsibility to take care of yourself first before attempting to take care of others. It’s necessary to fill your cup first, then to give to others from the overflow. This is what gives you the capacity to heal and to move forward into your next chapter of life."

It is not just #selfcaresundays where we pamper ourselves. It is taking care of our mental, physical, and spiritual wellbeing. You have the power to leave or change miserable situations! This is to protect your energy and peace of mind! Radical self care will keep you centered and in your zen in the midst of this turmoil. I implore you to try it!
